Add function and beauty back to your smile.

Tooth-Loss Solutions With Partial and Full Dentures

More than 120 million people in the United States alone are missing at least one tooth. Sometimes a tooth or the surrounding supportive tissue is too damaged to save. It happens. With advances in technology, though, restoring function with partial or complete dentures is a more viable option than ever for most patients.

We stay up to date on the latest in custom dentures.

Better fit means more comfortable wear and improved function.

At Renew Dental in Tupelo, we’ve been working with patients to create comfortable, custom-made dentures for over 30 years. Our team has the experience, technology, and skills needed to create a custom denture you’ll feel great wearing.

I am absolutely terrified of the dentist. I put it off for 10 years. I finally went to Renew and I am so glad I did. They did an amazing job on my new implants and my bridge. It was a very positive experience and I would recommend this dentist any time someone asks.

You’re missing several teeth.

Partial dentures may be the right solution for you.

A partial denture fits in your mouth and fills the gaps where you have missing teeth. It is a removable oral appliance, so you can take it out for sleeping and cleaning. Rests or clasps hold the partial denture in place on the remaining teeth, keeping it secure as you chew, talk, and go about your day.

You’re missing all of your teeth, and you’re ready for a solution.

Full dentures can be removable or implant supported and retained.

After tooth loss, the look of your face changes, especially if you’ve been without any tooth-loss solutions, such as dentures, for some time. But today’s custom-made dentures can look and feel like your natural smile and restore the shape of your face. When tooth loss occurs, the muscles in the face begin to atrophy from disuse. With custom-made, well-fitted dentures, those muscles are put to use again and rebuild over time.

Traditional dentures are full-coverage dentures meant for those who have no remaining teeth. The dentures on both the upper and lower arches are fully removable for cleaning and sleeping. Another option is implant-supported dentures, also called implant-retained dentures, which are permanently affixed to posts implanted in the jaw. You must brush normally and floss beneath the denture to maintain optimal oral health, of course, but there is no need to remove the dentures for cleaning. Not everyone is an ideal candidate for implant-supported dentures, but after a thorough evaluation, we can offer you recommendations that will best suit your needs and situation.

What does the denture process look like?

Planning for Partial or Full Dentures

At Renew Dental, our goal is to provide you with care that is comfortable and compassionate while looking to the future in our recommendations for your oral health. For those seeking tooth-loss solutions, the process begins as it does for any new patient: with a conversation about your oral health goals and a thorough evaluation of your current oral health status.

After an evaluation of your current oral health, we’ll discuss your options and what that process entails. Sometimes, we must treat periodontal disease as well or remove remaining teeth that are decayed or damaged. Once any oral health issues have been addressed, you may need some time to heal before the next step.

No matter which type of denture you choose, we will take detailed images and impressions to ensure your custom-made dentures are contoured to the unique shape of your mouth (and teeth, for partial dentures). After your dentures arrive, we will schedule follow-up appointments to check the fit of your dentures and make adjustments as needed. It’s vital to have a good fit not only for your comfort but also your health—dentures that rub can increase your risk of oral cancer. As you re-engage your facial muscles by chewing solid foods, we may need to adjust the fit of your dentures from time to time. We’ll also check your dentures at your regularly scheduled dental hygiene appointments to ensure nothing has changed and your oral health is on the right track.

At Renew Dental, we want choosing your oral health to be easy, and we want our patients to have the best possible experience.

That is why, in addition to providing high-quality dentistry, we offer many different ways for you to afford your care. We take most major credit cards but are also proud to offer CareCredit (a 0% financing plan). With CareCredit offering manageable monthly payments, you will never feel like it’s too late or too expensive again.

We are also proud to offer our very own VIP program. Our VIP program makes it easier to save money on your dental visits. Refer someone to our clinic and after their first appointment, you receive a credit to your account. The more new patients you refer to Renew Dental, the more you’ll save. Need more information on how the program works? Ask one of our team members during your next visit.
